OKINAWA WILL BE LAUNCHING ITS FIRST ELECTRIC MOTORCYCLE, OKI100 IN THIS IN INDIA | EV NEWS
The Gurgaon based Electric Scooter brand Okinawa will be launching it's first electric motorcycle in India. The Company has announced that this Electric motorcycle will be launching during the Festive season in India. The Okinawa also told that this Electric motorcycle would be a 100 percent localized product from Company, it will be support PM Narendra Modi's 'Vocal for Local' vision.
The Okinawa was showcased it's first Electric bike prototype in 2018 AutoExpo. The reports from Zigwheels reveals some details about this upcoming Electric motorcycle from the Okinawa. The pieces also include that the Okinawa Motorcycle will be different from the Prototype, which showcased in AutoExpo 2018. The Okinawa officials confirmed that it would be a Feature precise and even commuter style design, swappable batteries for User-friendly and Enhanced ownership experience.
According to the Company's officials, Okinawa will be the First EV brand to achieve 100 percent localization of Electric two-wheelers in the country. This will be supporting the 'Make in India' initiative, and the price of their products will be existing. This motorcycle development started from the root, and to complete its development, it took around three years. The Company has confirmed that the price of oki100 could be roughly 1 lakh mark, and it will be complete with Revolt RV400 in the Electric Motorcycle market of India. The Okinawa has Tied-up with various Finance companies to provide easy Financial solutions and boost the adoption of EV in PAN India.
The Company has confirmed that This Electric Motorcycle includes LED lights all around, Smartphone Connectivity, Geo-fencing, Bike location tracking, Ride history, and many more. The Company also said that the Oki100 Electric Motorcycle would be similar to 125cc ICE powered Two-wheeler.
This Electric motorcycle from a homegrown EV manufacturer is launching soon. We expect that the Oki100 will attract early Electric motorcycle buyers.
