GUJARAT GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCED A SUBSIDY ON ELECTRIC TWO WHEELERS AND THREE-WHEELERS| AUTO REPORTER
On Friday, The Gujarat Government has announced a new scheme to promote EVs and accelerate Electric vehicle adoption. This New scheme announced on the occasion of completion of eleven years of the Climate Change Department in the Gujarat Government. Under This new scheme, Gujarat Government will give the subsidy to the buyers of New Electric Two Wheelers and Three-wheelers in the state.
The TNN report said that The High school (class 9th and above) and college students who purchase electric two-wheelers will get a government subsidy on their vehicle of Rs 12,000 And the Rickshaw drivers or Self-employed persons who purchase electric three-wheelers will get a subsidy of Rs 48,000 on their vehicle.
Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said that The Gujarat Government has set a goal of having 10,000 electric two-wheelers and 5,000 electric three-wheelers on the state roads till the end of the current fiscal year. He also added that the government has taken this move to promote e-mobility as a measure to curb pollution caused by fossil fuels.
The Government of Gujarat also announced that they will set up 10 public electric vehicles charging stations in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot to facilitate the Charging of EVs. So they declared RS 50,00,000 package for setting up this Electric vehicle charging station infrastructure. So we hope that this initiative of the Gujarat Government will attract more people to going towards e-mobility future.
