CHENNAI METRO RAIL STARTED E-BIKE SERVICE AT 3 METRO RAIL STATION AUTO INDUSTRY NEWS | AUTO REPORTER
The Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has started E-bike Service at Three Metro Rail stations- Thirumangalam, Alandur, and Vadapalani. This App-based E-bike Service started by CMRL in Collaboration with a two Wheeler rental startup, "Howdy Hire Bikes." This E-bike service could be beneficial for daily commuters.
To Use this E-bike Service, The Commuters have to download the 'Howdy Hire Bikes' Mobile application. If commuter want to book a ride, they have to select pickup and drop points. After getting their bike, they have to scan QR-code on the bike to Lock, Unlock and Start it through the Mobile application. The officials said that the Pickup and Drop hub facility would be Exist at every 500 meters in the city. The official also said, "The E-bike service is available for only 3 Rupees per Kilometer and 10 Paisa per Minute. The first ride is free with a 50 percent discount on the next Five rides of E-bike Service."
In the release, the CMRL said, "The E-bikes are Coated with Certified anti-microbial solution to protect against Micro bacteria and Viruses. The Helmets and Bikes both are sanitized after Every ride." They also said, "Based on Response from Public, The Facilities will be made available at more Metro Rail Stations."
